Happy Labor Day weekend friends! Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to make a ton of recipes, BUT I wanted to share with you my favorite salad dressing of all time! Even better, right?
Not only is this a great dressing for salads, it’s also a fabulous dipping sauce for fresh fruit! I originally found this in my Skinny Bitch cookbook and have been making it ever since, it truly makes me excited for a salad (and that really doesn’t happen as often as I’d like unfortunately!) So I hope y’all enjoy this sweet and flavorful vinaigrette as much as I do!
Champagne Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup champagne vinegar
- 2 Tbsp honey, or maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place the vinegar, honey, lemon juice, and dijon mustard in a blender and pulse to combine. With the motor running, slowly add the oil in a steady stream and continue blending until the mixture is creamy.
- Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container. Enjoy!

I know this post is a little old, but I just came across it. I am wondering what I can use in place of agave nectar, if anything? Thanks.
You can use honey or even maple syrup as a natural sweetener 🙂
The dressing sounds delicious but I’m going to cut the oil in half and add some shallot and a small amount of xanthum gum to thicken. It should be about 53 calories then. Could you use darker text please? It’s quite faint and hard to read. Thanks for writing this blog.
This dressing is amazing! I have been putting it on a apple strawberry goat cheese salad. My concern is that the recipe says 12 servings, but mine only made 8 servings – so I’m therefore the nutritional information wouldnt be accurate then 🙁 I’ll make another batch and see if it’s the same. (And yes, I’ve been using measuring spoons) Has anyone else found their recipe was short of 12 servings?
This dressing was so refreshing as an alternative to balsamic vinaigrette which I was growing tired of. I did not have champagne vinegar so I googled substitutions and it said both rice wine vinegar and white wine can be sub. I used rice wine vinegar and it was delicious. Thanks Kelly!
Thank you for this!! Champagne vinegar is now on my grocery list. So excited to make this!
