Are you ready for the greatest party ever in your mouth??
Yes I went there.
I first tried this funfetti dip at my girlfriend's Stella and Dot jewelry party and we literally couldn't stop eating it! I immediately thought that I had killed my diet since this tasted just like I was licking cake batter directly out of the bowl, but au contraire my friends! This is actually really low in fat and calories and is the perfect go-to sweet treat when you're craving those chocolate chip cookies or that yummy slice of cake.
And don't even get me started on how easy this is to make.
Here, allow me to show you.
That's it!
3 simple ingredients and you've got yourself one hell of a dip! Pair this with fat-free animal crackers and let your inner fat kid go to town (just don't let them know it's the skinny version).

I got this delicious recipe from my friend Nicole who of course found it on Pinterest (my absolute addiction), so I decided to do a little research and tracked down the original recipe from the adorable blog Little Bitty Bakes. They have the recipe for individual portion sizes which is super smart, but I went ahead and made one heaping bowl of it to serve at parties or other events. Oh and this is just perfect for your kids!!

That looks and sounds delish! It's on my list to try with my toddler this weekend. :)
oh my gosh...cant wait to try this at the next party!
Amazing! Food that tastes like it's loaded with fat but isn't is the best! Plus, it's great with animal crackers. . .that means it has to be good! :)
I mean I think I'm literally drooling on the keyboard... The taste of Dunkaroos comes to mind from the 90s. I'm making this asap! What a brilliant recipe!
I want to please my inner 7 year old and have some of this for lunch. Kind of reminds me of dunkaroos. I hope I'm not the only one that remembers those...
How creative is this! Love it Kelly, great idea!
I just made this over the weekend for my sister's bachelorette party - I've never had a dip that was such a huge hit. Over the weekend, four girls ate the whole thing while sitting on an island - don't judge us :)
I would have never thought of this dip -- how brilliant!!! Now I want to make this immediately!
OMG - I am going to make this ASAP!!!
Kelly if had any idea how much I love funfetti than I would say you posted this just for me! It is a staple at every get together! I seriously almost had a funfetti wedding cake {for realz}! Thank you for sharing and I am totally making this for our family BBQ this weekend!
um, yes please.

I'm actually hosting a Stella & Dot party tomorrow night to kick off my business as a stylist. This dip WOULD be perfect!! How fun!!
Thanks for sharing it!!
Definitely making this soon! Been thinking and praying for you! :) xoxo
Ummm, delicious!!! Great looking dip there Kelly! Thanks for sharing!
TOO hilarous! We had the animal crackers in a box (you know, the little box w the circus train) and were talking about how yummy they'd be with icing. One of the girls, who is from Cananda, had never heard of Dunkaroos and thought the idea of animal crackers and icing was DE-SGUSTING! However I just so happend to have icing in the fridge (at work) and let her try it. She's a CONVERT! NOW I'm going to have to make this and introduce her to it! However I'm thinking use greek yogurt, just so I feel a bit better about myself and tell myself 'it's got an extra pack of protein, so I can eat more!'. Thank you sooooo much! CAN NOT WAIT.
OMG!! This is on my list of things to try! I love all of your recipes!
I have had this before at a shower! I had kind of forgotten about it til just now! Definitely making it for the get together!
Must try!! Looks so great!!! Thank you for the lovely recipe
I just sent my boyfriend a link to this and said oh.em.gee. we need to eat this asap.
Thanks!!
I love this x infinity! SO making this one for my next partay!
I'm totally making this TONIGHT for two of my roommates' birthday dinner!
I've had this and love it! My favorite part is how fluffy it get's after it has been in the fridge for a few hours!
I think I just found what I'm making for my dish for the family reunion! Thanks!
Oh dear. Yum! Pinning it now :)
Oh my goodness. I need this in my life RIGHT NOW!
Umm... all I saw at first was "Funfetti Dip" and just about died! Might have to make this this weekend.
Good Lordy! I must throw my face onto that bowl of dip IMMEDIATELY!
Wow this looks amazing!!! My boyfriend is obsessed with funfetti. I hate serving such fattening stuff all the time so this is fantastic! !
Can I substitue the yogurt for anything?? My daughter is lactose intolerant.
Ohhhh my goodness, this has got me craving sweets now! It sounds so tasty and delicious. I will definitely have to give this a try :)

How funny that we both posted funfetti-ish things on the same day! What a fun dip!
This looks amazing. I'm definitely going to try and make this for my next get-together.

I LOVE this idea! :)
Love love love this!
Love Love Love this!
Isn't pinterest wonderful? I found your blog there :) This dip reminds me of Dunkaroos from my childhood...only this isn't too bad for you, haha.
colourful dip deliciously done
This is not only adorable but completely genius. I would never have thought of this. Perfect for a playdate snack too!
Mmmm that looks soo good!
This is the first time I've ever thought of a dip as being 'adorable'. Can't wait to have a reason to make this!
It looks like it would be bad for you, it's hard to believe it's not! Looks great.
We have lactose issues in our family so I will try it using soy yogurt instead of regular yogurt. Sounds good!
Hoollllllyyy cow! I am in love!! Pinterest is the best isn't it?? Seriously this looks so amazing. Definitely trying it!
Funfetti is the best. No question about it!
Ummm, Yum!! I have a box of funfetti mix in my cupboard, all I need is some cool whip and I'm good to go!!! Oddly enough I bough animal crackers the other day, weird and random!! It was like it was meant to be!
What a fun dip! I wonder if Greek yogurt would work (that is just what I have right now :) )
Erin, Greek yogurt would definitely work! :)
Hi Kelly! I am loving this recipe. Though I do bake sinful treats, I will have you know in a little secret of mine ;). I don't actually indulge like that always.. I just love to bake, sample a small spoon of it, and then it's off to family and friends. LOL.. I can't wait to try this, since I have not had a funfetti dip before and am sure my girlfriends will love it too. Thanks so buzzing me over at my blog and do stay in touch. Btw, looking FAB there.. p/s: I'm on Insta too.. look for me k?? Huggsss, Jo
How funny I boought the cake mix and it just sat here... not a big cake fan. Now I know what to do with it! this sounds yummy!
Oh my! This is dangerous! :) And genius!
I made this last night & it was delicious! I am so jealous of everyone who has access to funfetti! :( living in Germany the only cake mix at the commissary was white cake or chocolate so I just added my own sprinkles! Lol sooooo good! In fact I'm snacking on it now too!
Would you mind if I reposted this? All the credit to you, of course ;)
oh my god this is such a fun and cute dip! love it!
I made this for my boyfriend and didn't tell him it was on the healthier side for him. Some how the words healthy and food make him automatically not like something before he's tried it :) He loved the dip! I couldn't find low-fat animal crackers in my grocery store, so I bought reduced fat vanilla waffers to go with it. Very Yummy!
Oh yummy!
what a cool idea! i'd love to try it with other mixes too... devils food!
Can you substitute the cool whip for something else that does not have the hydrogenated oils in it?
Are those Winnie the Pooh Animal Crackers?? Too cute, I must find them for my kids! They would like the dip too....if I share!
Can you make this the night before?
That looks so good!
Does anyone know a cool whip alternative? I live in NZ and we don't have that.
Hi...this sounds lovely..How do you think it would work with fat free Greek yogurt?
Mmmm this looks SO good...I'll try almost anything with cake mix in it! The way it's served with the little animal crackers kind of reminds me of Dunkaroos - although my mom never actually bought those for me :)
Yum! I will have to make this for my daughter soon!
That looks absolutely amazing!
I'm hosting a giveaway on my blog and would love if you could check it out!
That's it! I've got to try this!!!
I am super new to your blog...this looks incredible and I cannot wait to try it (and read more on your blog)!
Thanks!

This looks so good! My daughter is in a local pageant (community service based) and we are making it for her to take to the mixer they are having on Tuesday! She is excited to bring something unique! (She is 17 years old, btw, so for her to get excited about making anything related to food is amazing!). Thank you!
Cannot believe how simple and light this is! Making this all the time this summer :)
What a brilliant party snack!
I am making this today with SO Delicious Cultured Coconut Milk (yogurt). Greek Yogurt would also work well! I won't be using cool whip due to the hydrogenated oils. But I can't wait to try this! We don't have pillsbury cake mixes in Canada, but Betty Crocker makes a Rainbow Chip cake mix, which is essentially the same thing. YUMMM :)
I remember when Liz posted her original version of this...it was wintertime and I remember thinking, now THAT'S the best springtime (or anytime) party dip ever. I still need to try it...a year and a half later and you have me tempted!
Hey there....cake batter obsessed here....just so you know I tried just simply mixing the cake mix with plain fat free Greek yogurt and it was fab
Oh LOVE THIS!
that was my first thought, dunkaroos
Just made it for the first time today. Was very good! I'll for sure make this in the future :)
I made this for our July 4th BBQ yesterday and it was a huge hit. I used FF Greek yogurt, btw, and it came out delicious...sort of had a cheescake-y taste to it. Resisting the urge to eat all of the leftover dip right now!!!
Just started following your blog, the recipes look amazing! This is the first one I tried, a friend at work and I made this, divied it up, and delivered it to peoples desks! Afternoon treat!
This was awesome stuffed into strawberries!!!::):)
This was amazing stuffed into strawberries:):) and now with points plus strawberries are 0 points. Yummoooo
My husband said he wants a dunkaroo cake... what better to use then this recipe? Question though, how much does it make? Would it be enough to cover a sheet cake or a two-layer round cake?
Ohh what a brilliant idea! And yes this makes a TON so plenty to cover any type of cake you make...and probably then some ;)
made this tonight!! deeelish! but i am lucky my bday is tomorrow and i can bring it to the bar with me to share with people otherwise i'd be in trouble! lol
Can't wait to try this! Yummy!
I made this and used 16oz of cool whip and it made it super creamy and delicious! I made this for a work party, and people went crazy over it!!!
This looks amazing! PLanning on making it today!! Yum :)
This looks excellent! I will be trying this sometime very soon! Thanks for sharing!

My husband is obsessed with Funfetti cake...I even had it as his Grooms Cake at our wedding. Cannot wait to make this for him!
Will have to try this for one of our family picnics.
What program/filter did you use to edit these pictures? I really like them.
I'm a preschool teacher and we made this today for "baking" week. The kids absolutely loved it! It was fun & easy. Thanks!

I was very excited to try this recipe out.. I made a skinny enchilada lasagna last night for dinner and this for dessert. We were a little disappointed in this. It definitely had a weird taste to it that I can't quite describe. Maybe like an artificial sweetener taste? The cool whip and yogurt did not taste like this on their own so it must've been the cake mix or the combination.
I'm so sorry it didn't turn out how you expected! Did you use Greek yogurt? I've noticed that Greek yogurt as opposed to regular yogurt gives it a more sour taste, otherwise I've found it to be really good! :)
Can you freeze this dip?
Oh I totally remember those!!!!! Miss them a lot!!!!
oh, yum.
Bananas are a good addition too. Yummmm
@Megan Do you have whipped cream in a can down in NZ? Otherwise you could make it yourself, there are plenty of recipes online. Or you could whip some cream cheese with sugar and milk until fluffy. I would say 2 parts cheese to 1 part milk would work and just sweeten to taste.
What about dream whip? Not sure if y'all have that haven't been to NZ since I was 16.
Can you use flavored yogurt? Like strawberry? How about fat free cool whip? What are some other good things to dip in this? (fruit, pretzels, etc) thanks!
I made this this past weekend for tailgating for the NASCAR race in Michigan. I wish I would have made half a batch, because we ended up having to throw some away (boooooo!) but we ate it with fresh strawberries and it was AWESOME. Great recipe!
Yum!! Looks delicious. I wonder if it would taste yummy with sliced apples! I'm on WW and would prefer to use apples as a dipper so I can avoid using more points!
This will be my second time making this...it is fabulous! It is easy, low cal, and inexpensive! It is the snack of the summer! Thank you! Oh and this time I'll be using vanilla wafer cookies instead of animal crackers..:)
I just made this to serve as a treat to my kindergarten class tomorrow...hoping it's a hit! :-)
Is this something that needs to be kept cold? I'm serving this at a football party and don't know if I need to think about keeping this cold or not.
This definitely tastes best if chilled for awhile, but you can leave it out for a party no problem! Still tastes great! :)
I have had this book marked for a month waiting to make it. I am taking it in to work for my birthday (which is Monday, but I won't be at work!). So, now the cake mixes only come in 15.25 oz boxes... I guess I'll have to adjust the other ingredients a bit.
Your Blog is amazing, I found your blog through a post on pinterest and I'm hooked! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and stories!!
Rachael
my childs school has a strict healthy food policy. I changed the cake mix to a sugar free cake mix and added a flavor pack. The school passed it and kids loved it. Thank You for the idea
oh my god these look so deliiccooouusss, i have like 20 of your recipes bookmarked for later, including this one! <3 :D
What would be the single portion recipe?
What is the individual portion recipe?
I'm also lactose intolerant and I love yogurt. They have soy or almond milk yogurt. Soi would just use that. Check your groceries organic or health foods section.
So... which manufacturer actually makes "fat free" Animal Crackers? =) I've been to a few local supermarkets and none of them have fat free - not even low fat - Animal Crackers. The recipe sounds delicious, by the way!
Omg thank you so so much for this recipe! I made this recipe for my bf's family and they all LOVED it, including my bf!
I made this and it was awesome. Im on weight watchers and us WW gals need some desserts that taste sinful without all the sin! Keep giving us recipes their fabulous.
Loved this receipe. It was simple, quick and amazing!!!
I didn't have yogurt so I substituted with sour cream-worked great! We ate ours with apples and everyone loved!
Just made this! Loooovvvveeeee it! I'm gonna try making it with cherry chip next time! By the way stauffers brand animal crackers are already low fat..just read the labels
Made last night as a holiday treat to bring to work. Didn't have cool whip so stuck to cake mix and 0% greek yogurt and it wad phenomenal. Trader Joe's brand animal crackers paired nicely, they have slight hint of lemon.
Made this yesterday for a work party and it was a big hit!! I used 3 individual sized yogurts, one whole tub of cool whip and the cake mix. I did buy animal crackers and teddy grahams which were even better. Can't wait to try it with fruit and pretzels!!
Can this be made with vanilla yogurt. Will it change taste for better or worse ? I usually don't like plain yogurt
This sounds absolutely amazing, YUM!
xx

Thank you SO much for posting this recipe! I wanted to make a little something sweet for my Football Party gathering last Sunday.... I made it the night before and tasted it after I mixed the ingredients together... I thought it was just O.K. Then I let it sit in the fridge for the night and oh my lord does this dip take on different flavors as it settles. The longer in the fridge, the better it tastes! It was a HUGE hit at my party - everyone wanted the recipe and loved it! Thank you so much for taking us all back to our childhood days of the good ol' Dunkaroo Dip! LOVE IT and will make it again! xoxo
OMG!! This thing is soooooo delicious!! I can't stop eating it!!! I am dipping strawberries in it, and it's simply to die for. Thanks so much for posting this!!
Oh my gosh I made this for a party and everyone LOVED it! They couldn't get enough! Thank you for sharing!!
I love your blog and all your recipes - I've tried several of them and they are all delish! I was wondering though, when I plugged in all the ingredients to the recipe builder for WW online it said that 1/4 cup was 5 points. I used the 15.25oz box of Funfetti mix, 2 cups Lucerne Nonfat Plain yogurt and 1 cup Fat Free Cool Whip. Am I doing something wrong? Also, when I serve it with mini Nilla Wafers it adds an additional 2 points for only 10 wafers. The makes it a 7 point snack - not the worst but still kind of a lot of points...
Hi Kristen! Thanks for letting me know, I'll double check my calculations but I DO know my nutritional information is all correct. Maybe my points are just off, but thanks for the heads up!
I brought this to a party last month and it was a HUGE hit! People couldn't believe how simple it was to make!! Now I'm thinking Super Bowl Party:) I shared with my readers here: http://seektobemerry.blogspot.com/2013/01/its-game-time.html Thanks for the inspiration!!
I think the difference in the points is due to the fact that I plugged the ingredients into the recipe builder directly. If I use the nutrition information contained in your post and plug that into the calulator it does say that it is 3 points. I wonder why there is a 2 point difference? Either way, this dip is great! Thanks for sharing!!
This is so yummy and easy to make! I can't help but eat it straight with a spoon. Thanks!
We love, love, LOVE this recipe & have put it to frequent use already!! Yesterday I mixed it up for my daughter's preschool valentine party & it was a huge hit (& even blogged about it & you on my blog I'm building for my new biz: http://www.jenminkphotography.com/funfetti-dip-gone-valentine-style/ :D ). THANK YOU for this site... I'm trying to change my eating, start cooking, etc & I've yet to find a recipe on your site that not just I, but also my husband doesn't LOVE!! :D
I was wondering how long this will stay good. i made it for a party that didn't happen and even though i have no problem eating it myself i don't think its a skinny dip if i have to eat the whole bowl by tomorrow! thanks so much!
Can you taste the yogurt?
I bought the ingredients just now and will be making it here shortly. Can't wait to try it, brings me back to my childhood :)
We hv done that b4. LOL Only most times it was a jello cake at a party. Lol
LOVE this idea! We just featured this recipe on our blog and came up with awesome variations like Smores, German Chocolate, Orange Creamsicle, Peanut Butter Cup, and Strawberry Shortcake. Check it out!
