Skinny Chocolate Chip Cookies

Remember when I told you I love chocolate?
And then I proceeded to tell you I love all things guilt-free and delicious?
Well here ya go, all that and more in these bite-sized cookies.

DSC_1342

Sure these cookies are filled with chunks of delicious chocolate and taste just as sinful as the next cookie, but in reality they are all ONE WW point each!  These little cookies satisfy that must-have-chocolate-this-very-instant craving without packing on all the extra calories.  Oh, and the portion sizes are perfect for you and your kids!

I may or may not of just had two with my morning coffee.

Yum.

Here are your ingredients:

2 Tbsp salted butter, softened
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. table salt
1 large egg white
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, about 1/2 cup

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  In a medium bowl, cream together butter, oil and sugar.  Add vanilla, salt and egg white; mix thoroughly to combine.  In a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda and stir into batter.  Add chocolate chips to batter and stir evenly to distribute throughout.

Drop 48 half-teaspoons of dough onto one or two large nonstick baking sheets, leaving a small amount of space between each cookie.  Bake cookies until golden around edges, about 4 to 6 minutes and cool on a wire rack.  Enjoy!

There is nothing better than a delicious sweet treat w/ little calories! I love the mini size too, truth is I'd probably eat the whole plate. I need some self control!! ;)

Just made these like five minutes ago and they are fantastic! I've had such a hard time trying to find a GOOD low fat chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Thank you, thank you! I adore your blog and love how dedicated you are to it.

My only problem was that the batch made 38 cookies instead, but oh well! Also mine came out more plump and crisp, rather than thin and chewy like yours in the picture.

All in all, their awesome and you've done such a great job.

Keep up the amazing work! :D

These little cookies are adorable. As a cookie lover and lifetime WW Member, these are a home run in my book. The only thing that would make them better for me would be a little peanut butter and oatmeal thrown in !

Just came across your blog and fell in love!
Quick question about the skinny choco. chip cookies (can I substitute the flour, for rice flour?) I have celiac disease...?

Christal said...

These are MELT.IN.YOUR.MOUTH delicious. Tastes so much like the chocolate chip cookies my mom made growing up, only they were the size of my head... but I ate them like they were bite sized... and definitely contributed to my freshman 15 which was really my freshman 30...

They came out PERFECT! I'm really surprised this recipe came out with just 2 tablespoons of butter. I tried it your way and I tried it with a few variations and it worked too. I added Frangelico liqueur, used unsalted butter, and whole wheat flour. Thanks!

I made these and they are absolutely delish! They're the perfect size and my family loved them. thank you so much!

I tried to make these today...they came out so good. my husband can't stop eating. However, I'm not sure if I did anything wrong, but the batter came out a little on the thin side... so when i baked it, it spread out really thin! When mixing ingredients, do you use the hand mixer or do you do it by hand? Etiher way, they came out great! =)

Kelly | Eat Yourself Skinny said...

So glad you liked them! I mixed the cookie dough by hand just until combined :) Hope that helps!

These are seriously sinful! Thanks for sharing!!!!

Hi Kelly,

Do you have any suggestions for further substitutions that wouldn't change the integrity of the flavor too drastically? I.e. replacing real butter with fake, whole wheat flour, etc.?

Thank you! :)

Martha@ simple nourished living said...

These look delicious. I'm a fellow Weight Watchers member, who just tried a new recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies with chopped peanuts from the new WW Cookbook, Best Darn Food Ever. Have you tried them yet? Absolutely yummy!
