Happy Halloween!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!

I'm sure everyone had a fun-filled weekend full of costume parties, insane amounts of candy consumption and {if you're anything like me} LOT'S of baking!!  Thanks to Bridget and her amazing tutorials on how to make/use Royal Icing over on her blog Bake at 350, I finally learned how to decorate cookies the right way!

Here's a lil preview of some cookies I made, my apologies for the blurry photo.

I used a delicious lightened up sugar cookie recipe, but it still needs a bit of tweaking.  My inspiration for decorating these babies came from Tracy at Sugar Crafter, her cookies look incredible!  The final recipe and better photos will be posted soon, I promise!!

As for my weekend, well it was an absolute blast!!  I couldn't ask for better friends and the Halloween parties were so much fun!  I love any excuse to get all dressed up in a silly costume and this year was no exception.  So what did I go as??

Well I'm so glad you asked.

Ok so whoever guessed Toddlers and Tiaras in my last post was correct, however because I get overly excited for things and tend to be very forgetful...I left my camera at home {sigh}.  BUT I was able to capture the second Halloween party and had so much fun being a 1920's flapper!  Everyone went all out in their costumes, I love this time of year!  Of course I had to mix mine up and rock a wig...I mean why not??

Pink hair...totally normal, no?

Haha hope everyone has fun tonight taking their kids trick-or-treating tonight or passing out candy, which is of course what I'll be doing since I am childless {aside from Oliver...duh}.  With that said, I shall leave you with a montage of my super fab weekend!

Cutest cookies ever! And sweet outfit! I have a huge weakness for pink, we used to host pink parties just to go crazy with it. :)

Hi Kelly I just come from Rosemary's blog. I am really into eating healthy; I know you have so many followers and I am now one of those. Great mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, those pumpkin cookies remind me of my whoopie pies; and i just got here.
